Duplicates folder missing from sidebar

I have seen multiple posts but no answer as to what's going on. I'm running Ventura 13.6.1

I opened Photos yesterday, saw the duplicates folder and went through the images that were there. After that the folder disappeared. Following some of the posts, I plugged in my Mac, left it over night but this morning, still no duplicates folder -- even though I know I have hundreds of them.

Has anyone figured out what's going on and how to resolve this issue?

Overnight may not be long enough. For large libraries it could take a week or more. Leave the Mac plugged in with Photos running but in the background. Photos won't interrupt your work of editing pictures to do the duplicate scanning. So 'running in the background' means leave a finder window or something from another app in front, so Photos knows you're not busy with it.
