Cannot copy from Numbers to Pages on macOS 11.7.7

Thank you for the workaround tip to copy to Notes then copy to on to Pages. I'm running Sonoma 14.2.1 on a M3 MacBook Pro where a simple copy and paste between the two basic Apple apps no longer works. I'm gobsmacked. Steve Jobs will be spinning in his grave.

Select your table content in Numbers and copy to the clipboard. In an open Pages document, there are two different approaches to receiving the Numbers table, cell colors, and formulas intact — both involve a simple paste operation. Pages tables have a subset of Numbers table cell formatting.

1. Just execute a simple paste in Pages and a new table appears populated with the Numbers table selection. The cell colors and formulas will be intact.
   1. The caveat is that Pages documents only support a single page orientation for the entire document, so if your Numbers table is immensely wide, you may need to paste into Pages, and while still selected, rotate it 90 degrees on the Arrange panel to make it fit.
2. Insert a blank Pages table, and single-click cell A1. Then again, apply a simple paste and the Pages table will expand rows and columns as it needs to receive the Numbers table data.
   1. Same portrait page caveat for wide tables as in [1.1].

I have done both of the approaches in Pages v12.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.7.10, and just now in Pages v13.2 on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1. It works reliably.

Delete all apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynotes)

Then resinstall to make sure they have the same version.

This works for me.
