Deleting and or blocking calendar spam

I’m running version 17.1.2 on my iPad. My calendar is being inundated with spam invites that I cannot edit, delete, block or report as junk. None of the suggestions I have found so far work. Help!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

if you hold click on the calendar event without entering the actual event, you can have the option to copy, cut and paste. Select cut and then it should make the calendar event grey. Once you do that you can open the invite and delete it without it coming back a second later.

I just had the same issue and it worked for me!
