iOS screen recording taking up too much space

I have recently bought the new iPhone to have one device of both the major mobile OSes (iOS/Android) for filling in the gaps that iOS provides aka some apps working better, or even not at all on Android. While still keeping my Android devices because some things work better there too hence this post…

Literally after the first week I had filled the 256GB from screen recordings, ~8.8GBs is used per hour of screen recording with H.264 & ~55-60fps

A one hour recording on my Find X5 Pro is ~800MBs with H.265 and dynamic framerate for recording set.

So I’m begging Apple, this is terrible please integrate better encoding/codecs for recording and allow us to change the framerate please.

I tried an app called Record It, framerate settings have no effect, only quality settings work. Still no better codec.

If anyone can recommend a better screen recording app I would appreciate it.

I can hardly keep up with offloading the videos via cloud storage and it’s still taking way too much space.

Thanks for reading, any considerations will be appreciated,

I don’t care, I know I’m addressing them but I want it to be publicised for everyone to see not in some lil Apple database for only their employees…

Thanks anyways :3
