iMessage locations not working

Husband and I just upgraded to 15 Pro Max, and now can no longer see our children’s’ current locations through their individual iMessage maps; it shows the whole continent, and zooming in shows them all at our home constantly. We CAN see their current locations on our group iMessage and Find My.

We are both on 17.2.1 and can see each others locations.

Our kids have updated their software and checked their sharing permissions. They can see each other and can see our location.

Thoughts?

Hi Jmad278, are the kids phone also on ios 17.2.1, if yes you can follow this link below and it will guide you on how you can view your family sharing. through iMessage and iCloud.

Ensure that your children's iMessage location sharing is set to "Share My Location" in their settings. Restart all devices, and recheck location sharing permissions.

If the issue persists, consider contacting Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store for assistance with this specific iOS 15 Pro Max problem.
