Is there a way to uninstall an update? My 6s plus got nerfed by the 15.8 update !!

Hi, my son update his 6s plus with the REQUIRED 15.8 update.

It was working perfectly fine until the update on Tmobile/Mint.

After the update - roaming data/sending videos from anywhere does NOT work at all, and his basic phone service (which we use to keep in touch during schooldays) now has sporadic coverage.

I'm seeing that some other folks with older phones have also had their phones lose functionality after this mandatory update.

The forums aren’t “flooded” but I see we are not alone. It appears Apple helps support is “buy a new phone” unless I’m not reading this correctly.

Darn… that doesn’t seem fair or right. We had a totally functional phone a few weeks ago before the “update” I’m super frustrated. New phones are just way too $$ and we used it for health related purposes :( so we can call911 when needed

If this were a major issue, the forums would be flooded with posts and you would be hearing about it on the evening news. None of this has happened.

It's bad luck, but you can contact Apple Support if you wish.

The forums are for people who are having problems. Everyone here has a problem. No one ever posts here to say that everything is working fine.

Are you saying that people with the 6s plus were able update without issue? Thats what I’m trying to understand if this is a glitch that we can troubleshoot, or if it’s built in obsolescence.

in case anyone else is bumping into this issue, removing and reinstalling the SIM card fixed the data problem for us.

The iOS 15.8 update has rendered my 6S plus almost unusable with major freeze and lockup issues. The only way to temporally correct is to press the right button and log back in. Guessing this was it eiher planned by apple or it’s major incompetence, either way, I will be checking out something other than apple as a replacement shortly.
