Mono Audio not working on Iphone XR and IOS 17.2.1

Mono Audio is no longer working. I have a single left hearing aid and the music is playing in stereo, so I don't get the right channel of music without the use of Mono Audio.

Mono audio not working anymore on iPhone I use an iPhone SE (2nd Gen) and normally stream music and videos using mono audio since I use an MFI hearing aid device and stereo doesn’t normally work properly when you have one hearing aid. However upon installing the recent iOS 17 update, I take note that parts of songs and videos I watch/listen to (specifically on YouTube and other social media) are missing certain elements or just have missing audio entirely as if Mono audio was off. So I go to settings assuming iOS 17 probably just reset the setting but it was still on. For a while I just assumed this was a problem with only my hearing aid but after playing songs that utilize stereo out loud on the phone speakers, the problem carries with it not being in Mono. This issue occurs for most apps with the exception of Spotify, which is actually one of the only apps that truly play in mono as Apple Music itself doesn’t even try to play mono. I see this as just a simple bug that after 2 months I’m finally reporting here to the Apple Community with hope that someone sees this and helps me get the message to Apple so that a patch could be put out to fix this oddly specific minor glitch.

Why does Apple Music switch to Mono in CarPlay? Since getting the 16promax when I connect to my CarPlay the Apple Music starts playing in mono meaning it sound like it’s coming from one speaker after about five minutes of driving it switches to stereo mode and clearly coming out of all speakers. It did not do this on day one (Friday) it started doing this day two Saturday. Is it some new setting on the phone for Apple Music, is it iOS 18 glitch? Anyone else experiencing this odd switch? How to fix live streaming Apps stereo sound Hello, I have the iPhone 16 pro max with iOS 18.2 and when streaming, the audio is MONO, and if I record video with the camera it is stereo. Why does streaming become mono?

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual. Adjust any of the following: Mono Audio: Turn on to combine the left and right channels to play the same content. Balance: Drag the Left Right Stereo Balance slider.
