When predictive text suggests word, I can't delete/backspace on word I'm typing?

when i'm typing a sentence and i have a typo, predictive text assumes it's a word and suggests it (then i press the space bar and the word fill out on its own) pretty cool except for the fact that once the predicted suggestion shows up, it doesn't let me backspace/delete the typo. i have to either let the suggestion get filled in or type random letters so it can let me backspace. its honestly rather inconvenient.

The point of this is, it shouldn’t a hard stop for us from typing or editing. Why don’t you play around with the software and fix the inconvenience you created here?

If you're using predictive text and it suggests a word you don't want but can't directly delete, try tapping on the suggested word to dismiss it or select it (depending on your device's behavior) and then hit the backspace/delete key to remove the typo. If that doesn't work, typing a space and then backspacing can often reset the suggestion and allow you to delete the typo. It might take a bit of maneuvering with the keyboard, but those methods usually help bypass the automatic word fill-in.
