Downloading Windows onto Macbook Air 13in M2 chip

So, I have Steam and want to play a game that requires Windows. Is there any way I can play the game by either buying Windows or another way?

if it does not feature in the steam app for macOS then

it's trixy, the old bootcamp where you install windows directly on the mac will not work with the m1,2,3.. chips

the new cpu from apple used the ARM cpu architecture where the version of windows microsoft sells rely on the

intel x86/x64 cpu architecture

though using a virtual machine like parallels would likely mean the 3d features of the m2 chip would not be unleashed in a wild gaming experience.

if you want to know more

you can run windows 11 for arm in a virtual machine, it's a version optimised for the qualcomm cpu, and it running in a virtual machine means it's not really taking advantage of the fancy 3d video card features, and that being said most windows games are made for the x86 cpu rather than the arm cpu so games would be somewhat emulated, if it was me and I wanted to play games then I would check what is supported in the macOS steam app and in macOS app store and maybe macOS arcade.

judging from the articles about macs and gaming it may have a future but it's doubtfull it will be running windows games on macOS, vm or bootcamp or ..
