Logic Pro and GarageBand Missing Track Icons After Latest Update

I updated my OS on my Mac Book M1 to Sonoma 14.2.1. At the same time, I noticed an update to Logo Pro to Version 10.8.1 I ran both updates.

I now notice that when I create any new instrument tracks, the generic icon is loaded instead of the regular icon. For example, if I create a new guitar track, the amp icon is no longer present. If I manually change the amp Icon and then load a different amp, the loaded patch loses the icon again.

I then loaded GarageBand to see if it has the same problem and it does, all instrument patches have lost their default icons.

The sound seems to work fine, just the visual amp or any instrument load patch is affected.

I tried downloading and reinstalling the sound library in Logic Pro to no luck.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I wish I didn't update this soon... I should've waited to hear about problems first.

Same things been happening to me. Thought the app had a glitch or that my sound library was screwed up. Reinstalled and still have the same issue you are experiencing. Not sure why this is happening, but no matter what I do it changes everything from the cool 3D track icon of the amp to just some generic blue amp line drawing. Anyone have a fix for this?!

Same thing here. When I used to load amps they would resemble the one they were supposed to be (eg. Fender Twin, Marshall etc.) now it's just a generic blue line drawing. I can go and change them manually after loading a new track but it's a real PITA. Any ideas?

Exactly the same problem. After upgrading to M2/Sonoma I have generic amp icons as default insted of realistic icons.

I've just done similar updates to Sonoma 14.2.1 and Logic 10.8.1 on my 2020 Macbook Pro pre-M1 and I can't load any old songs or templates. Apple please sort out ASAP!
