Music app is showing the location of several songs as "/Macintosh HD"

I recently moved my music Library from iTunes on Windows to Music on macOS. I keep everything on an external hard drive. I used option when launching Music to choose the iTunes library to import and everything seemed to work ok, until I started cleaning up and fixing some metadata and noticed several songs (I honestly don't know how many, I have about 350GB of music) wouldn't play and just skip to a different song. I used Get Info to see where the file was located to make sure it was there, but the location is shown as "/Macintosh HD" which is wrong because everything it's on my external drive, and also there's no filename at all. With missing files, I can of course relink them, but Music is not showing these files as missing so there's no way to relink to the correct file. Is there a way I can fix this? I really don't want to reimport the songs and lose play counts and dates, and even then, I don't want to through all 60K songs to find out if they can be played.

So, I found a way to fix my library and decided to share the solution in case anyone stumbles upon this. I used the script found here FixLinks - an AppleScript to repair broke… - Apple Community which originally attempts to fix missing links, but I actually removed the lines that check if the files are shown as missing, so it forces the script to ask for a location to search anyway. Since I don't which files have the wrong location, I'll have to do the whole library (in batches obviously) but I'm glad I won't have check file by file and re-import (which means losing date added and play counts).

Below is the modified script. Just like the original post says: Paste the code into a new empty document window in the Script Editor app and save as ForceFixLinks, then save the file to ~/Library/Music/Scripts to call it from the Music menu bar after selecting the files you want to fix. Thanks to turingtest2 for the original script!
