My MacBook is stuck on the wrong date and time!

Good morning, I have an issue where my MacBook is preset to the automatic setting for time/date region. For some reason, this defaults to July 2023 and not the current date or time.

Reading through some threads, I tried to reset the connection to Apple servers, via the terminal and this still hasn't fixed the issue.

I have to set the date and time manually, or else I cannot use the internet based on the date being set in the past.

Any ideas here would be appreciated.

Check your Location under Security & Privacy in System Settings/System Preferences, Privacy, Location Services, scroll down to System Services and open the Details. Make sure Time Zone & System Customization is enabled. Restart. Make sure you are hooked up to a network or phone hotspot, and check the date and time and location. Hope this helps.
