For example, which exact generation is your iPhone SE? What is the make and model of these ear phones that you are trying to connect to it? Are these ear phones wired or wireless?
The paperwork says that my headphones are compatible with iPhone SE generation two. I cannot find the information on what generation it is. I know it’s not the same as version, but when I check my settings, it just says iPhone SE. Any suggestions?
To get the exact generation, you can find out your iPhone's Model Number.
Tap on Settings > General > About > Model Number
For example, the 3rd gen model number is: MMX53LL/A. Regardless, if your phone is running iOS 17, then it would have to be either a 2nd or 3rd gen model.
However, we still don't know anything about your headphones. I'm assuming that they are Bluetooth wireless. The only thing Apple provides is the support article you originally arrived here from. If that doesn't help, there's not much else I can offer you, other than they are just not compatible.
