iOS 17.2 Screen Time not working properly

I've had screen time working just fine for my kids' iPads until they were updated to iOS 17.2 this morning. Without my changing any settings they are now blocked from using their iPads during unrestricted times. I had no time limits set, just downtime, but they now get a message saying they've met their time limits and apps are blocked. I tried adding a very liberal limit, but even that didn't work.

They're using iPad minis 5th gen. (I selected the wrong device in the form, so it shows iPad mini 4 below.)

I have the same issue. But I’m a bit afraid signing out my kids devices. Are they not going to lose all the app logins?

I’ve tried it - removing screen time, then logging kids out from iCloud. But it didn’t work. Kids still find some way how to unlock the apps after splending the screen time limit.

I believe they select “one more minute” and the function removes all the limits by some mistake.

Turn off Screen Time, and sign out of iCloud (Apple ID) on their iPad(s).

They won’t. The app logins recover when you sign in back in.
