I deleted the app Faceout but it’s still sending my contacts messages saying I’m sharing photos even though I’m not. I don’t want to redownload the app as someone I know got a virus from the app. Is there a way to prevent the app from sending messages to my contacts? Apparently a lot of people have been having issues with this app.

Really delete the app, you probably only removed it from your Home screen. Go to the App Library (the last page of your Home screen), and of you see it there delete it. If you don’t seen the option to delete the app, If you have Screen Time enabled, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases and change Deleting Apps to Allow.
Then try deleting the app again.
And no iPhone ever got a virus from an app downloaded from the app store.
