iPhone 12 completely died after update 17.1.2. I initially thought the battery was draining more quickly, but after trying two different chargers and outlets, I got nothing and after charging overnight, still nothing. I was advised to get a new phone and now the update will not run so I can not get all my data downloaded from the cloud. I'm seriously thinking of trying a droid. Anyone else having issues or have insight to what's going on. Very frustrating!!
You’re saying you got a new phone and the iOS update won’t complete? It could be a server issue since a new update released today (iOS 17.2) so there may be a lot of people trying to update at the same time. Are you getting an error message?

I don’t understand this sentence. If you accept the advice and purchase a new iPhone, whether any update runs is completely irrelevant. Your data would be restored to your new iPhone from your latest backup.
correct, the last update on the iPhone 12 (that died) was the 17.1.2. The new iphone14 will not run the 17.1.2 update. It gives me an error message. so I can't get my data until I somehow get the update. I will give it some time and retry. thanks for your thoughts on the servers.
