AirPods Pro (1st generation) will not noise cancel or go into transparency

When I use my airpods pros I normally use them in noise canceling but, when I tried to go into transparency mode the other day my airpods will not switch between any modes and will not noise cancel. I have switched devices, turned the devices off, reconnected airpods, let airpods fully charge, and everything I could think of. I have had these for a while so I don't know if its just time for a new pair but they still work fine other than those features.
