I have been scammed by Apple gift card

There is nothing that you can do if you've sent the card. You've effectively sent them cash.

You stop it by not sending them Gift Cards or cash for that matter since it is basically the same thing. The only reason the scammers continue to do it is that people continue to give them money. You may also want to review the many scams you may receive by email/messages that attempt to get your personal/financial information.

Some more tips to follow:

• Don't click links in emails/messages
• Don't call numbers provided to you by email/message
• Don't give anyone your passcode/password
• Only buy Apple products from an Apple Store or apple.com
• Don't send Apple Cash to people you do not know
• Don't send people codes to Gift Cards
• Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Your best option is to contact your card issuer or the police.

If you have the gift card, and it has not been redeemed, you can spend the gift card at Apple.

If you sent someone the gift card, there is nothing that you can do.
