Cannot connect Apple Watch Series 5 to iPhone 14?

When pairing it checks for updates and says watch is updated and will not leave screen without clicking skip and unpair

I actually just got off the phone with an Apple support supervisor, make sure you don't still have the watch paired in your settings or any old phones that the watch may have been connected to. Also, go to the "Find my" app and erase/remove the device in there as well(can set this back up at a later time). Mine then popped up for me after trying to figure it out for hours. I have the same model watch and the 14 pro. Hopefully, this helps!
