Playing CD's without importing them

I would like to play CD's without importing them. I have a M1 Max with Sonoma. The only (crippled) way I found to do that is with Quicktime Player. Then it will play one song and not the CD.

How do I keep an album of classical music together? I've been ripping a bunch of my CDs because my car doesn't have a CD player (Gen Xer - I've already bought my music more than once, not doing it again). But at least one of my classical CDs ended up separated once it imported. I know I can create a playlist that puts it all in order, but is there a way to make them stay together through the import? The piece has 15 movements and it put the 3rd as one separate album and then the 6th and 8th as a separate album.

Not sure who thought it was a good idea, but Apple seems to have removed that functionality from Music.
