Apple Music is missing albums I ripped from cd

I have many albums in iTunes that I ripped from cd. I've noticed entire albums missing from Apple Music, yet they still appear in iTunes. So I ripped them again and after syncing library they reappear. Now I noticed many more albums missing. Also some that I re-ripped have the wrong album cover now. Why is this happening?

Windows, Windows 10

I pay for Apple Music. The albums are missing from Apple Music but they still show in iTunes. They used to appear in Apple Music, then at some point were gone. So I re-ripped a couple of them from CD, synced my library, and they eventually were back in Apple Music. Then I noticed at least 4 or 5 more missing from Apple Music. There are probably others missing that I haven't noticed yet.

All of these missing albums are in an iTunes playlist that I have for albums that I like to listen to all the way through.

Just wish someone could explain why this happens.

Try If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support. Personally I don't recommend using Apple Music to transfer your collection from one computer to another, or remove the need to backup your library. It is possible that content that once was matched is now no longer available, or was otherwise removed from your cloud library, but you haven't had the opportunity to add it back from local storage. Sort the Songs view of the library and sort on the Cloud Status column. Fix any issues with content that displays as Removed by selecting and adding to the library. You can also try this with anything that says Error. If there are other states listed we can discuss how to resolve.

Do you have an Apple Music or iTunes subscription? If so have you checked that all content is correctly marked as either purchased, matched, or uploaded. If not have you imported the contents of your iTunes Media folder to your Apple Music library? As far as I can tell Apple Music on Window doesn't yet have a method to import and convert an existing iTunes library.

Thanks but I don't use Apple Music to transfer anything from one computer to another. If I re-rip from CD (like I did 15 years ago or so with all my CDs), then in iTunes for Windows I use File/Library/Update iCloud Music Library.

None of the songs or albums have a status of Removed. They still appear in iTunes but not in Apple Music. If I delete the album, re-rerip, then re-sync, suddenly they are back in Apple Music. This is really frustrating that I have to re-rip my favorite CDs.

Why are they disappearing from Apple Music in the first place? They are right there in iTunes!

If you sort the library in iTunes on Cloud Status what different values do you see? Purchased (but must be your own Apple ID), Matched, and Uploaded should all show up in an Apple Music library on another device where Sync Library is enabled. Waiting, Removed, Error, Duplicate, Ineligible, and possibly other values indicate content that isn't added to the iCloud Music Library. As for why you might have content that was in your iCloud Music Library in the past but isn't now I have no idea. I can only give you tips on how to work through any content that isn't currently included. Select, right-click, add to cloud library should fix simple issues.
