After the 17.1.1 Update on my iPhone 13 ProMax, why do my words disappear after I enter them on Message?

Update 17.1.1 was a disaster. I have an iPhone 13 ProMax and it changed everything. It affected how I send my text messages; will not cut/paste properly; won't scroll to a particular area of the message to make a change if I am using it in dictation (voice) mode; will just randomly delete words (when I am reviewing my text prior to sending, entire words are missing.) I have had to re-enter all of my auto-fill information; (it is also gone from forms, credit cards, etc. that were already updated. I am being asked whether I need to share my photo with all of my contacts (again.) Finally (and one of the worst issues I am dealing with) the update affected location services (is asking me whether I want to use my location while I am using the app, always, or never (for every single app that I open, (apps that were already updated and now I will receive the question multiple times!) This is just what I can remember. It is by far the worst update ever and having to reenter all of this information all over again is ridiculous. Then there is all of the problems with text messaging. What did they do?? I have turned on/off my phone several times and all of the problems are STILL THERE....

I am not sure whether it is your iPhone itself or the update or a combination of both.

I recommend that you update your iPhone to the latest iOS and that is iOS 17.1.2. If you have updated your iPhone 13 Pro Max and the issue(s) is not resolved, then have your iPhone examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.

Hello Axel..

I have already added the update as well as turned my Iphone completely off/on several times. I am still having trouble with Messaging. It has actually reverted back to a previous version. If I am typing a message and either receive a call, or leave it to be completed at a later time...what I had typed is now gone. I need to complete the text and send it or I will lose what I have done. This has not happened since an update 2-3 years ago.

Then the last word that I type (at times it is also a random word in the body of the text) will just disappear just as I am preparing to send it, and I have to go back and add the word.

I had added my message to the Community to see if anyone else was experiencing this, but there are plenty who are going through this who have posted messages on the internet. Update 17.1.1 has caused a lot of problems. All of my auto-fill information was deleted from everything and I am having to re-enter everything. It is such a disappointment!
