Iphone 15Pro charging issue with message “cannot use accessory - this accessory uses too much power”

I have been experiencing an issue while charging my Iphone 15Pro with a message “cannot use accessory - this accessory uses too much power”, since I bought it. The device is still new with less than 2 months of usage.

I see this message everytime I plug-in my USB-C cable to my Iphone 15Pro. I have to unplug it and plug it again multiple times. Sometimes reversing the port works, which is very weird. This has been very frustrating for a brand new device.

I am already using Apple’s original new USB C cable came with Iphone 15Pro and using Apple’s 20W Adapter.

How to resolve this?

Check to see if there is any lint or other obstruction in the USB-C port area of the iPhone. If you have access to another power adapter, try it and see if you still receive the error. If so, I would contact Apple and make a Genius Bar appointment if you have an Apple Store close by. If so, bring the phone, cable, and current power adapter in for Apple to examine.
