Why can't I update this iPad mini?

Simple answer. It is too old and does not have the hardware required to support newer iPadOS versions.

The iPad A1432 was the ORIGINAL iPad Mini (WiFi) introduced 10 years ago. That is a long time ago in computer years. The highest iOS version it can run is 9.3.5. Not even the minor dieties on Mount Cupertino can change that.

THe latest version of iOS requires a minimum of an iPad Mini 5, introduced in March 2019.

It is because you don’t have enough storage/memory

It has nothing to do with storage/memory and everything do with the iPad being too old.

It has nothing to do with hardware everything to do with storage/memory
