Podcasts app fast forward using the right arrow steering wheel controls in 2014 Toyota Camry changes playback speed instead of fast forwarding. Using iPhone 14 Pro Max. Issue persists when connected to other vehicles

I have always been able to FF in a podcast using the right arrow key- 2014 Camry. Now, suddenly the same action causes the playback speed of the podcast to increase. 1 press = 1.5x, another press = 2.0x etc. pressing left arrow reduces playback speed. This happens in both of my Camrys. I have tried forgetting the device and reconnecting. I have also cleared the BT profile from the car and reconnected it. In the phone’s BT profile for the Camry, I erbt into settings and made sure the device type was set to car stereo. Nothing works. I believe this started after the iOS 17 update or one of the subsequent updates. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
