ATT Internet Air And Time Capsule

I've had Internet Air running for several days with excellent results. I connected our personal network behind a firewall in a Time Capsule to the ATT gateway via 1GB yellow ethernet. In the morning, the ethernet connection has dropped, but resumes when unplugging and plugging the cable into the gateway. I've gone back and forth between 1GB and 10GB ports with the same results. I'm assuming that, after a while of little or no activity, the gateway is dropping the connection to the Time Capsule. This puzzles me because I know some of our devices are active to some degree during the night. Any thoughts? Can I configure the TimeCapsule to ping the gateway at regular intervals, when no devices are active?

No, there are no settings on the Time Capsule that would provide this type of feature or option.

Try setting up a fixed static IP Address from the ATT router to provide to the Time Capsule, which I assume that you have configured in Bridge Mode, which Apple calls "Off (Bridge Mode)".

Insure that IPv6 settings on the Time Capsule are set to Link Local Only.
