There are several potential reasons for distorted voice calls on an iPhone. Here are some common factors that can contribute to this issue:

  1. A weak or unstable cellular network signal can result in voice call distortion. If the signal strength is low, the audio quality may suffer, leading to distortion, dropouts, or static during calls.
  2. High network traffic or congestion can affect voice call quality. When there are too many users trying to access the network simultaneously, it can result in degraded call quality or distortion.
  3. It's recommended to keep your iPhone's software up to date and regularly check for app updates.
  4. If you are using a Bluetooth headset or speakerphone during calls, interference or compatibility issues can lead to distorted audio. Try disconnecting any connected Bluetooth devices and check if the voice quality improves.
  5. Voice call distortion can also be attributed to problems on the network provider's end. Temporary network outages, infrastructure issues, or maintenance work can affect call quality in specific areas or during certain times.

If you're experiencing persistent voice call distortion on your iPhone, it's recommended to troubleshoot the problem by following these steps:

  1. Check your network signal strength and switch to a different location if possible to see if the issue persists.
  2. Restart your iPhone to refresh the software and temporary settings.
  3. Disable any Bluetooth devices connected to your iPhone during calls and check if the distortion improves.
  4. Verify that your iPhone's software is up to date and install any available updates.
  5. Contact your network provider to inquire about any known issues in your area.
  6. If the problem persists, consider contacting or visiting an Apple authorized service center to diagnose and address any hardware-related problems.

If your iPhone 11 is not working properly while making calls, such as if others can't hear you properly or if you hear strange sounds during calls, it might be due to problems with its software or hardware. You can try some of the following steps to identify and solve the issue:

Software Troubleshooting:

1. Check for iOS Updates:

   - Make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update" to check for updates.

2. Restart Your iPhone:

   - Sometimes, when the software on your iPhone is not working well, you can try to fix it by restarting the phone. To restart, you should turn off your iPhone, wait a little bit, and then turn it back on again.

3. Reset Network Settings:

   - In "Settings," go to "General" > "Reset" > "Reset Network Settings." Note that this will reset Wi-Fi passwords and cellular settings.

4. Check for App Updates:

   - Make sure that you have the latest versions of apps that are causing the issue.

Hardware Inspection:

1. Check Microphone Openings:

   - Make sure that the small holes on your iPhone where you speak are not covered with dirt, junk, or a cover. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean them gently.

2. Test Microphone:

   - You can use an app called Voice Memos to make a recording of your voice. If you hear your voice clearly when you play back the recording, it means the microphone is working properly.

3. Headphone Connection:

   - If you hear the same problem when you use headphones, it may mean there is something wrong with your device. To check if the problem is with your headphones, try using a different pair.

4. Contact Apple Support:

-If you're still having trouble even after following the steps mentioned above, it's best to get in touch with Apple Support. They can give you more specific advice and may recommend further tests or suggest visiting an authorized Apple Service Provider.

If you are having trouble making phone calls, it may be because of a problem with the Phone app or your carrier network. You could try using Messenger to make calls instead, as it might work better. If the issue continues, it might be helpful to contact your phone company's customer support for assistance.

Fixing problems with phone carriers can involve many different steps. Here are some ideas to try:

1. Network Signal Strength:

   - Make sure your iPhone has a good signal. If the signal is weak, you may have trouble hearing the person you are calling. If it is weak, consider moving to an area with better coverage.

2. Toggle Airplane Mode:

   - Try turning on Airplane Mode and then turning it off. This may help fix problems with your phone calls by resetting the connection to the network.

3. Carrier Settings Update:

   - Make sure you have the latest carrier settings. Follow these steps: Go to "Settings" > "General" > "About." You will be notified to install any available updates.

4. SIM Card Inspection:

   - Please make sure your SIM card is correctly inserted and doesn't have any visible damage. If possible, try using another SIM card from the same network provider to see if the problem still exists.

5. Reset Network Settings:

   - In "Settings," go to "General" > "Reset" > "Reset Network Settings." This action will make you lose your Wi-Fi password and phone network settings. You will need to enter the passwords again for your Wi-Fi.

6. Contact Carrier Support:

   - Reach out to your mobile carrier's customer support. They can check for network issues in your area, troubleshoot your account settings, and provide guidance specific to their network.

7. SIM Card Replacement:

   - If the issue persists, your carrier may recommend trying a new SIM card. This is a relatively simple and cost-effective solution if the current SIM card is suspected of causing issues.

8. Network Settings on Carrier's End:

   - Sometimes, the company that provides your phone service might need to change or renew some of the settings that make your phone work properly. If this happens, you can ask for help from the people who work for the company by contacting their customer support.

If you have tried all these solutions and the issue is still there, it's very important to get in touch with your carrier directly. They have the necessary tools and resources to investigate network-related problems and can help you with additional troubleshooting steps or take further action if required.
