Contact photo and poster

My husband and I both enabled this feature - about 1 hour apart. It immediately swapped our pics AND we started seeing each others calls and texts. After trying multiple times to change pic and enable/disabling it’s still f’d up. We share my Apple Id. Assuming that’s the issue?!

How to stop the contact Photo on iPhone that Changes without my permission? So lets say I have a friend whose contact I have set up on my iPhone with a photo I have set up and when he calls me or occasionally it happens when he texts and his contact photo changes to his contact poster without my permission. Does anyone see the problem with this? I am not going to throw my friend under the bus, but lets say his contact poster is a very inappropriate photo and I do not want to see it. How do I stop his contact photo on my phone from updating to his dirty photo without my permission?

Contact Poster I want to disable my contact poster so it doesn’t appear when I call someone. Although I disabled the feature through my personal card, it still appears to my contacts when I call them. I also changed the sharing option to “Always ask”. I deleted my poster and my contact photo. Even after all these steps, when I call my contacts it is still visible to them. Any ideas how to solve this?

Apple IDs should not be shared because any/all purchases will be associated with the ID used to purchase them. You cannot transfer them, so yes, he can't use them.

After he sets up his own, you can look into family sharing.

You should never share an Apple ID.
