IOS 17.1.1 - Lock Screen Clock Widget Low Visibility

On my recent upgrade to IOS 17.1.1, the lock screen clock widget has now gone dim/transparent to the point where it is barely readable.

Here is what I have tried to fix with no luck --

  1. Increase / Decrease transparency of the text. The showcase mode shows the changes take effect; however, as soon as I save, it goes to its default transparent setting.
  2. Change the lock screen to a different layout with a clock - same issue.
  3. Recreate the lock screen - it makes no difference, either.

Seems like a bug. Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know of any fixes?

I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Hello,

Yes, I double-checked all the settings for dim screen and white point, and even went off to reset settings (not erase contents). No luck.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Lock Screen Clock issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device. If you are referring to a Faded Lock Screen Clock then...
