Bought a movie on Apple TV app on iPad but can’t switch language to original audio.

Same problem here. I rent the movie and I am now very disappointed. I don’t want to see it in German, but in English. I am shocked by such a poor service from Apple.

Same here. Oppenheimer. Description and trailer in English, and misleading “original language English” then you buy the movie and it’s dubbed. I got the refund, but….

….my feeling is that this is a an issue that we had ten years ago, then it got better, and now for some reason we are back to square one.

Same problem here. Original language of a film is really not much of an ask. Had this problem a few times now. Get your **** together apple. Filling peoples evenings with trying to sort out tech problems instead of having a drop down menu with languages before you purchase a film.

Yep. It’s a joke. Probably not a licensing issue as it’s looks like it’s available in all languages to rent on BlueTV.

• Rent or buy movies are from a completely separate catalog than Apple TV+ subscription service. Subscribing isn’t required in order to rent. Canceling Apple TV+ for reason of your experience with a rent movie doesn’t make any sense.
• For buy or rent movies, Apple lets supplying studios select which audio languages they want to include per title, per country or country-like region. If they want to include only a dubbed track, then they can do so. They may also choose to supply a French edition and an English edition as two separate Store items. Apple lists what is available per title, and what it was originally, so that you may know before making your buy or rent decision.

Looks like it‘s mainly an issue with Universal Pictures Movies. Could anyone confirm that?

same issue. Pretty sure this is not a technical problem but a licensing issue. They want you to buy the blue ray disc instead….super annoying and it would be great if someone from Apple came forward to explain what’s going on

This is a nightmare. It happened to me too, many times, its so absurd, not to deliver the original audio, I fall for it again and again. I stopped completely renting movies from Apple, there is places you get movies for free, with original audio... I would like to support the movie makers, but I refuse to watch Oppenheimer in german. If they dont want my money, so be it.

Me too. All the text describing Oppenheimer was in English. Just really small print buried to say very unclearly with language saying but also French but weirdly also English. Can’t be hard to just say somewhere clearly (Apple’s big selling point for their devices) what languages it can be watched in.

I have the same here. I like to have the movies in my phone that's why I buiy them in there.

It's been a while that I'm waiting for apple to Make the original version in English with the choice to change it in french.

I don't understand why it's not possible to have all of those movies with all the languages available for it.

I had the same issue for others movies and had to send à refund request everytime.

Anyway, I'm surprised by the lack of services from Apple.

I experienced the trailer in Italian and the film in German! Hopeless Apple. It’s very tempting to just stream it from somewhere else- for free….
