Can i use airplay on my macbook air 2017 ?
I am trying to airplay from my Iphone 13 to my macbook air 2017, But i dont see any displays and i am unable to mirror my screen too. Please Help

It may be that since your machine does not meet the minimum requirements, it does not support being an AirPlay Receiver at all.
It's hard to tell exactly what Apple meant by "works best with" – but Macs had the ability to use AirPlay to stream video to AppleTV set-top boxes long before AirPlay to Mac came on the scene. Maybe they mean that a Mac that doesn't meet the requirements might still be able to be an AirPlay transmitter, albeit with reduced quality.

AirPlay to Mac works best with these devices and operating systems.
But that does not mean you cannot use it:
You can AirPlay to Mac at a lower video resolution from older iPhone, iPad, and Mac models and operating systems if the supported Mac has the AirPlay Receiver setting in Sharing settings configured to allow AirPlay for either Everyone or “Anyone on the same network”.
You must configure the MacBook to be an airplay receiver first, see this on how to do that
