When I go into Apple Mail, click on a mailbox, then choose "Delete Mailbox," I get the following message:
The operation couldn’t be completed. (MCMailErrorDomain error 1030.)
Is there an alternate way to delete mailboxes? (I'm using Ventura OS)

Ah, that explains a lot. It looks like I had Apple Mail connected to my GMail account at one time before I switched it to my webmail account. However, now I'm unable to connect it to GMail for some reason.
I'm ready to update to the newest OS, so maybe that will help. Thanks.

Mac's Mail App is not as modern as iOS's Mail app, Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…
If it's an IMAP account, delete it in Sys Prefs Internet Accounts then use "Other" instead of gMail choice to add it.
Most likely biggest factor is using Other in Mail setup, then using a Browser that doesn’t have gMail PW stored init to get the App PW.
It might just need an App Password separate from the gMail password…
