Apple Music Family (with family sharing) issues

So my mom has apple music family and i’m in her family. The issue is that its just not working?

i should’ve also said that Apple Music is showing in subscriptions that shes paying for it and its a reoccurring payment. but when she goes into family subscriptions it doesn’t show up at all?

What happens when you try to use it?

Does it appear as a shared subscription for you in Settings ➜ Family ➜ Subscriptions on your own device? (it won't appear for her as a shared subscription on her devices because its her own subscription, not being shared with her)

If it does appear for you, and the Music app still requires you subscribe, go to Settings ➜ Apple ID ➜ Media & Purchases and sign out, and sign back in with your Apple ID.


Do not attempt to sign in with your mother's Apple ID for any reason.
