Artleap app not working with IOS 17.1.1

This is happening to me too and it’s driving me crazy. At first I thought it was because I had too much stuff on my iPad, so I deleted a bunch of content and apps. No luck. Then I noticed the app was crashing on my new iPhone too which has lists of free space, so it’s not related to space. It’s the iOS and I wish Apple would address this matter. Or Artleap. I would open a bug report, but the crashes so there’s no sending one!

I reached out to Artleap and this is their response:

Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the inconvenience. Since the update to iOS 17, Artleap is no longer being supported, and this is likely what is causing the issue you are experiencing with the app.

When I reached out to ArtLeap they said the same, and also offered a complimentary subscription to one of their other apps, but as far as I can tell, none of their other products do anything even remotely close to what ArtLeap does. Thankfully I saved some of my work locally but other work is stuck in the app Library 😔

Was such a great product. Too bad no one bought the code and just started their own company with that one product! That’s what I’d have done if I worked there. And had I known the update would mean the death of ArtLeap I’d have never updated my iPad from 14 to 17. Wonder if there’s a way to roll back to the old iOS.

But I must also say, Apple has a way of upgrading its iOS that makes it hard for some software companies to do maintenance releases. They’ve famously destroyed many apps for this very reason.

I’m so relieved other people are experiencing this! I thought my phone was playing up…

Does anyone know if Artleap are aware of the issue?

Not the most helpful response. I may reach out to them myself, see if there are any refunds on subscriptions etc. It’s a shame it’s not going to be supported though - it was an app I regularly used!
