Can it be possible to switch smart stack to the side button and have the control centre for the bottom swipe

Following the watch is 10 update, I’m now stuck with this useless Smart Stack option for the bottom swipe, and can’t get my control centre back. It’s now stuck on the side button which seems much more stupid.

is there any way to switch this back?

in a similar vein, can we uninstall the enforced apps that we don’t want? I don’t want tips, I don’t need cycle tracking, I don’t want the medicine app…. These are all just extra bloatware icons that take up space on the watch menu

There are no user options to "switch this back."

Please refer to Use the Smart Stack to show timely widgets on Apple Watch for details regarding deletion/addition of Smart Stack widgets.

Add, remove, and rearrange widgets

The Smart Stack includes a default set of widgets, which you can manually add, remove, and rearrange. Just scroll down from the watch face, touch and hold the Smart Stack, then do any of the following:

  • Add a widget: Tap +, then tap a featured widget or tap an app that appears below All Apps. Some apps offer more than one widget.
  • Remove a widget: Tap .
  • Pin and unpin widgets: Tap  on the right side of the widget. The pinned widget appears below the last pinned widget in the Smart Stack. To move that widget to the top of the stack, unpin widgets above it by tapping  on the right side of each widget.

Tap Done when you’re finished editing the Smart Stack.

Thanks.

So work flow, muscle memory ruined, angry upset ADHD brain every time I swipe up to change a setting and it’s not there. got it.

and thanks for the tips, I’d worked out how to delete the widgets from Smart Stack… I just want to turn the nonsense feature off.

what I was looking for was a way to delete the bloatwear apps on the apps screen, like cycle tracking and tips. Turns out you can by long pressing them then deleting them, but only on the watch itself, and not in the layout editor in the watch app.
