Will factory reset help with virus being deleted?

I opened a page for a potential job and ever since then have been getting notifications that I have a virus. Now I have my Norton Program installed and now when im on safari im getting a notification that an external computer is attempting to connect to my MacBook.

Would a factory reset solve this issue or help with removing the issue?

MacBook Air, macOS 14.1

No virus is involved.

No factory reset is required.
