I returned a MacBook Air at Costco and received an immediate refund. I contacted AppleCare support for a refund on the Annual AppleCare (never used) and was told "Sorry, that order is closed".
So now I have AppleCare but no computer. That doesn't seem right.
Good news I called support again and talked to a human with feelings and common sense. She agreed to cancel and give me a prorated refund on the remaining 11 months of my annual plan.
