Calendar year showing in a different language

I believe that my calendar has set itself to show the year in Japanese after last update. Fortunately I can still see the months. The dates on the photos have also changed and after checking the settings are in the right language and time zone I am not sure how to fix it.

Go to Settings / Calendar. You'll find that you can change the calendar language and show other calendars too. One of these two is probably at play here.

For the time zone, go to Settings / General / Date and Time.

I had this issue for years before I figured out how to fix it. I hope that you have already figured out how to change the language of the year on the calander from Japanese to English.

Go to SETTINGS on iPhone click the GENERAL tab. Scroll down and click the LANGUAGE & REGION tab. Click the CALANDER tab and change it to Gregorian from Japanese. That should automatically fix that issue.
