Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) auto muting the controlled device / piping sound to the controlling device. Can't unmute the target while being remote controlled.

I know the community has long wanted the ability for audio from the controlled source to be channeled back to the controlling device. It seems that either as of 3.9.8 or 3.9.7 this feature is in place but to my detriment it now prevents you from continuing to run audio output from the local device. The moment the target is remote controlled, the icon on the target's speaker is toggled to mute (including in the settings). This mute setting can not be turned off while you are remote controlling the target Mac. Meanwhile on the source/controlling Mac you absolutely now can hear the audio from the controlled device. A lot of people probably will like this feature but Apple needs to have a way for the customer to still have audio on the target/controlled device have independent audio.

I have a work laptop attached to both a speakerphone and videoconferencing setup that I've been able to ARD to and use very successfully till now but now with this forced mute, I can't use the speakerphone attached to the target for output (it gets channeled to the output speaker on the controlling machine but meanwhile the MIC remains active on the speakerphone attached to the target).

The moment I stop using ARD, all functions/speaker output/mic input options remain the same except that the forced Mute checkbox is unchecked and all returns to normal (but again I need to be able to remote).
