My Final Cut Pro keeps crashing

My Final Cut Pro keeps crashing. I am editing a couples wedding film using a Samsung SSD T7 external hard drive and all of a sudden it crashed tonight. I can re-open the library but I can't re-open the project. Moments before this happened I deleted some render files ( I've don't this countless times and nothing has ever gone wrong). A few minutes later I then got a message saying that the library was damaged. I've checked that Final Cut Pro is running on the latest version which it is. I have also deleted my preferences and it still isn't working. I'm now worrying that I've lost the entire project. Please help!

If Tom's suggestion doesn't work you can load a backup of the library from before the crash then relink the media (easiest if the media is external). Backups are by default stored inside your ~/Movies/Final Cut Backups/
