That's right. So you need to erase your iPhone using the blue word link in the post just above from Bob Timmons. This will require you to use a computer to erase the phone using iTunes (on Windows) or Finder (on Mac). Once you've erased your iPhone, you can then restore your data from the last backup you've made. If you haven't been backing up your iPhone, you're data is gone.

To avoid ever having to go through this again, you might want to write your new password down somewhere for future recall.
