Display brightness issue after update of Apple Watch se

Hi I recently updated my Apple Watch SE. Immediately after the update the screen brightness became considerably dimmer and now has a grayish hue. Even raising the display brightness to max it remains much dimmer than before. Prior to the update I only had display brightness to the middle setting and it was so much brighter at that setting than it now is at max setting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
