What is possible is that your Apple ID has been compromised. That would give someone access to any information you have stored in iCloud.

Note that this would no give someone access to your banking apps. What makes you think someone does?
Why do you think that’s true?
It’s unlikely in the extreme that your iphone was “hacked”. Unless you jailbroke your phone, that’s virtually impossible. In extreme cases, it can happen, but it is very very expensive and almost always initiated by State actors… i.e. repressive governments. Unless you’re likely to be the target of a repressive government, it almost certainly didn’t happen.

but it’s a US used iPhone

and my battery goes down for no reason without me pressing my phone

This happened to me. Every Apple device in my home including my grandmas who has a different cellular plan was hacked and remotely controlled. My bank acct was hacked. The phones were controlled some how with assistive devices. They keyboards and languages changed. The background photos changed.
Don't forget, if a used device is purchased it could have MDM (Mobile Device Management) software installed on it that is not visible by you. With the MDM software, another person can view your screen, install apps, and make account changes. MDM software is not illegal and used by many school and work environments, but unless you purchase a new device and set it up yourself, you could be at risk of someone else viewing your information.
WHY do you think that is true? What evidence do you have that someone is able to “access” your phone or see your transactions and texts?
