Mac won't sleep after Sonoma Upgrade

Right after I upgraded to Sonoma, my iMac won't go into sleep mode even after I changed all the Energy Saver settings. I now have to shut it down and restart it every morning.

Sleep is unnecessary and should be disabled. Shut for long absences/idle overnights (i.e. do not manual-sleep), and for regular operation use the settings exactly as shown here Wake up a remote Mac mini - Apple Community, should fix.

Separately, be aware that EtreCheck isn't allowed on the App Store https://sites.google.com/site/howtotellifyourmacishacked/is-etrecheck-malware and does nothing other than snapshot your system for guess-work armchair advising. Avoid.
