"My schedule" is grayed out on Apple Watch

I recently upgrade to the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Since the upgrade, the "my schedule" complication is grayed out on the face of my Apple Watch. In other words, instead of showing the next item on my calendar, it just shows two blank gray lines. I did unpair and re-pair the watch but I still have the same issue. Does anyone have an idea why? Thanks!

Hi. I had the same problem and got it fixed today from a technician at the Apple Store.

What you need to do is

have your Apple Watch and iPhone close together.
go to 'My Watch' from your Apple Watch app on your iPhone
press 'All Watches' at the very top left corner
press 'information' sign
press 'unpair Apple Watch' (I don't recommend restoring data because this could make the problem come back again)
Done!

Got excited as mine had the same symptoms. Followed your steps but it’s still there, greyed out. I did set it up as a new watch, not from backup.

Any other ideas most welcome.
