Numbers lost changes after update of OS to fix offline issue

I have a numbers file on my iCloud and wanted to collaborate on it with my wife.

It showed that it is offline and I need to update before collaborating. Then it asked for OS to be updated.

I've done those, but now the changes done while offline are lost and I can see only the version stored in iCloud..

Going to Revert to menu .. no recent versions found.

I was expecting either to merge the offline changes into iCloud once it was online, or to have both files available..

Any ideas if I can recover the offline version?

Not sure this will work, it's worth a try. I assume you updated your MasOS without wiping your hard disk and keeping your old user directory.

Go to Finder, and open the Go menu while holding the option key. Select Library. Do a search with name:TheNameOfYourFile, or at last its first few letters. The file might be stored in some temporary folder. Good luck.
