My husbands laptop has been scammed and we can’t get on it without calling a number that is a scan number i already checked out the phone number. It is a scam. I checked it out. I don’t want to call that number because I don’t want to be scammed either. But I will call it if you can’t help me.

It is a scam message. Turn off the computer and boot it up again. Never believe these messages and never interact with them by calling or providing personal or financial information.

Assuming these scam messages are appearing in Safari, shut down Safari, then restart Safari while holding the shift key.
They keep telling me not to turn f my computer. Because we will loose everything on the computer abd that I need to call the number to get help. But I tried last night and upon found out it was a scam number.
I’m not sure on how to reboot his computer. Could you please tell me how to do that. I’m 76 yrs old and I have never used a computer before. Thank you for helping me. I really do appreciate it a lot.

Power it off then power it up again.
I did that but I still get there message coming across the computer and there are flash messages in the screen thst doesn’t let me to do anything on it They just keep saying to please call them for support immediately. And not to shut down the computer because it will destroy sl, the info on the computer. The number they tell me to call is. ********

I just keep getting the message to not shut down the computer to call the support number that I typed in the last message. It is so strange. I’ve never had this thing happened before. Usually I can get back on the computer after I shut it down abd restartbit but they are really tough this time n
Do you have any other things I can do with my husbands laptop. He doesn’t get on it other than to play games and you tube. So I don’t know what else to ,do for him either.
