OS Compatibility

My MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014) is running the latest update (macOS 11.7.10) of Big Sur. Per the Apple website, that is the most recent OS it can handle. For tax year 2023, TurboTax requires Monterey (macOS 12). Any ideas for bridging this gap, other than buy a new computer or switch tax-prep software?

Since TT now requires macOS 12 Monterey or newer you know the options are limited.

There is no TT offline software for earlier macOS and you have a complex tax return that cannot be done with online TT version... therefore:

> Use a different tax preparation software or

> Hire a tax preparer to do your taxes or

> Do your taxes manually yourself or

> Buy a newer Mac that can run a newer version of macOS and therefore TT for 2023.

You have a decision to make.
