FaceTime Minimize Option Not There

Hello,

When I go on a facetime with people, my facetime does not have the option to minimize the screen while others do. The yellow minus symbol when you try to minimize is in grey and is not there. How do I fix this issue?

I had a same issue with my FaceTime. I had a chat with an Apple Support Rep.

They said, you have to uncheck the 'Always on top' option under Video option on menu bar on top.

i.e. Video -> Always on Top (Uncheck this).

Now the yellow button will be back.

Cheers!

Hello coverlin,

If the yellow minimize button is currently gray, that would mean you currently have the app in full screen. Press the green resize button to change the app back to it's regular size and then the yellow minimize button will become available.

Temporarily hide the video call window: Click the yellow minimize button at the top of the FaceTime window. (If you’re in full-screen view, first return to the standard window size.) The audio portion of the call continues while the window is minimized. To see the video again, click the FaceTime icon in the Dock.

Change your view of a FaceTime call on Mac

Cheers!
