Does your current version of iMovie work with macOS 11.7.10 ?

You didn't say why upgrading was required.

If not then you can download a compatible ( with 11.7.10 ) version of iMovie as follows.

Drag your current version of iMovie to the trash , but DO NOT EMPTY THE TRASH just yet as you may need to drag it back out if the following does not work for you.

Next go to the APP STORE and click on you name at the bottom left of the screen, this is sometimes referred to as clicking on your Account.

This should take you to what is called your Purchased page which should list the applications that are associated with your Apple ID, even if some of them are free, such as iMovie ,Garage Band e.t.c.

If you see iMovie listed then you should be able to download the latest version of iMovie that is compatible with your

OS 11.7.10

And further, no 11-in MacBook Air models are compatible with macOS Ventura (13.6.1), so you cannot upgrade your Mac to get the latest iMovie 10.3.10.

it's also the last version for EVERY MAC EVER that can run that version of Big Sur

Big Sur 11.7.10 is the last as the operating system has now dropped off the three-year sliding window of support that would include Sonoma, Ventura, and Monterey. There is no point update to Big Sur today for that reason.
